"We went to Benmore Valley Ranch on 4th of July long weekend this year (2008) with 4 families (total 14 people). It was an awesome place for relaxing. The boating experience in the Recreational Lake was great. It has very good biking and hiking trails. The owner (does not live there) and the associates (live there) are very friendly and always ready to help. It's like a home away from home. We had a blast there. We will definitely go there again in near future."

"My stay at Benmore Ranch was peaceful and lovely. The Lake House was comfortable in the midst of all the surrounding natural beauty. The pink and white water lilies viewed by the full moonlight were breathtaking! I loved just rowing around on the lake....It was also nice to be so close to Ukiah (where we visited the Grace Hudson Museum and Oco Time, my favorite Japanese healthy restaurant) and Lakeport to eat good Mexican food at TNT over looking Clearlake. Thanks for a great and much needed break!"
My husband and I desperately needed a get-away weekend. We wanted to stay within a few hours drive of San Francisco but we required some peace and quiet. We found the perfect spot at Benmore Ranch. We had our own house overlooking a splendid pond and we were given fresh eggs laid by Benmore Ranch chickens and some fresh Benmore walnuts. We even saw deer, jack rabbits and a bobcat. We will be back - there is a lovely cottage overlooking another pond that we want to try and some more trails to hike.
We had a really great time at the Swan Lake cottage over the weekend. The weather couldn't have been better to go out and enjoy the terrific open spaces you have. We managed to spend an afternoon out at North Lake, another afternoon at East Lake (even spotted a wild pig!) and still managed a few canoe trips on Swan Lake. We got a chance to chat with Victor and look forward to trying the local eggs, nuts and wine. And of course, we made our way up Victor's trail. Even with as much fun as we had, I'd guess our dogs had even more fun. Wish we could have stayed a few more days, but hopefully we'll get a chance to come back.
We visited the ranch for a special weekend. It was perfect. It was remote. It was quiet. And we sat and watched the milky way all night.
